Bonito

Know your product

The scientific name of Bonito is Sarda. It measures around 80 cm long on average. In Italian, “Bonito” means “good”; indeed, real gourmets especially appreciate this fish. Its smooth flesh is rich in protein, minerals and vitamins A and B. It releases pleasant flavors, very close to those of the Tuna, although finer in taste.

We also supply pinched Bonitos, which are caught individually angled. They have a label pinched on their gills, to guarantee their superior quality and an even more subtle taste.

How to buy

Choose fresh looking Bonitos, with shiny scales, and bright red eyes. They should release a pleasant and fresh sea smell.

Keep Bonitos in the fridge for 24 hours at most.
