Bananas

Banana comes from the Arabic word "Banan," which means "Fingers". It was cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago, and was then exported to Southeast Asia. Bananas appeared in the West much later; only a few centuries ago. Marketing this fruit led to Pomona’s birth, from which our company has developed its vast range of products. Thanks to its high vitamin and potassium content, it became a staple product for millions of people all over the world.

Today, bananas are picked green; this allows for long conservation and makes transport easier. Our bananas are selected through using high quality and eco-aware producers. All of our banana bunches contain at least 4 fruit.
